Rob Schuwerk is Executive Director of Carbon Tracker’s North American office. Rob leads Carbon Tracker’s outreach and data provision to the Climate Action 100+ Initiative, and oversees its programs on Accounting Audit & Disclosure, Asset Retirement Obligations, and The Global Registry of Fossil Fuels.
He has authored several papers on how climate-related risks are likely to impact financial reporting and the role that securities markets regulators can play. He has also produced analysis of company disclosures both before and after the creation of the Task Force on Climate-Related Financial Disclosures’ (TCFD) recommendations.
Prior to joining Carbon Tracker in 2014, Rob was an assistant attorney general with the New York State Office of the Attorney General and, prior to that, a litigator in the New York City offices of Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison LLP. He is a graduate of The Yale Law School.
