This year’s Forum will host the 2024 Keeling Curve Prize awards ceremony on July 15. An initiative of the Global Warming Mitigation Project (GWMP), the annual Keeling Curve Prize awards $50,000 to each of ten global climate initiatives across the categories of carbon sinks, energy, finance, social and cultural pathways, and transport and mobility, which demonstrate the exceptional ability to mitigate greenhouse gasses. ”We’re thrilled to announce the winners at the Forum because of our shared DNA of innovation and impact by elevating proven climate solutions across all sectors globally,” said Jacquelyn Francis, Keeling Curve Prize Founder and Executive Director.

Accommodations:

This year we have a two options for accommodations at a discounted rate. Please book your stay ASAP as our discounted rooms will sell out. We have a block of rooms at the Limelight Hotel, across the street from the Sun Valley Forum mainstage venue, The Argyros Performing Arts Center, and a discounted rate at Best Western Plus Kentwood Lodge, located on the same block as the mainstage venue.

Reserve your room at the Limelight Hotel, our Sun Valley Forum lodging partner, for a highly discounted group rate of $550/night, by calling the Limelight reservations team at 855-441-2250 and letting them know you are booking with the Sun Valley Forum group. The block applies July 12-22, 2024. Book your room before our block sells out!

For another option, reserve your room at the Best Western Plus Kentwood Lodge, located on the same block as the Forum Mainstage venue, The Argyros Performing Arts Center, by calling (208) 726-4114, and mentioning you are booking with the Sun Valley Forum for 5% off of the market rate. This offer will be valid as long rooms are available.

Other options include Hotel Ketchum and Tamarack Lodge which both are a short walk from the Forum mainstage venue, The Argyros Performing Arts Center.

2024 Forum Travel Planning

Flights:

Please secure your travel arrangements as soon as possible. Summer is a busy time in Sun Valley. Visit www.flysunvalleyalliance.com for a schedule of daily non-stop flights into Sun Valley’s Friedman Memorial Airport (SUN). Flying into Boise (BOI) is also a good option with daily shuttles and rental cars, and is a scenic 2.5-hour drive from Sun Valley.

Please plan to arrive in Sun Valley by midday on July 15th at the latest. On the morning of July 15th, we will host hikes and a local farm tour to see the area and meet other participants! Registration will open at 10:30am MT, where you will be able to pick up your badge for access to all Sun Valley Forum events. We will begin the opening plenary at 2pm MT on July 15th at the Argyros Performing Arts Center.

The Forum ends with a closing dinner celebration on July 17th followed by organized outdoor activities on July 18th in the mountains and on the river should you be able to stay for that. More information is provided below on how to sign up for our outdoor activities!

Post Forum River Rafting!

Exploration

Our area is a mountain haven with world-renowned mountain biking, road biking, hiking, fly fishing (Silver Creek Preserve), kayaking and rafting – as well as arts and theater. Please let us know if we can help you plan other activities before, during, or after the Forum.

We are planning a group rafting trip for July 18. We will depart from the Limelight Hotel at 8:00am MT with to go lunches, and plan to be back at the Limelight by 2:30pm. If you would like to join the river trip on near the gorgeous Stanley Basin on the main Salmon River sign up below!
