Zach Knight is Co-Founder and Managing Partner of Blue Forest Conservation, a boutique deal development firm dedicated to leveraging financial innovation to develop sustainable solutions to environmental challenges. Supported by the Rockefeller Foundation, Blue Forest Conservation is developing the Forest Resilience Bond, a pay-for-success financing aimed at deploying private capital to accelerate forest restoration treatments in watersheds across the Western US.

Prior to founding Blue Forest Conservation, Zach worked in structured finance and credit derivative structuring at Merrill Lynch and spent four years as a high yield and distressed bond trader. Zach left Wall Street to earn an MBA with honors from the Haas School of Business at UC Berkeley and holds a B.A. in economics from Cornell University.
