Inspiration to Action // Connection to Collaboration
On behalf of the Board of Directors of the Sun Valley Institute, it is our great pleasure to invite you to the 6th annual Sun Valley Forum, June 8-10, 2020 at the recently-opened Argyros Performing Arts Center in Ketchum, Idaho to build transformative leadership, accelerate innovation, and unlock imagination for our changing world.
We are at a critical moment for the planet: the World Economic Forum’s 2019 Global Risks report, Out of Control, found the top two risks facing our globe are environment related: extreme weather events and the failure of climate change mitigation and adaptation, and environment-related risks account for three of the top five risks by likelihood and four by impact. The recent report of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) warns of significant changes to the earth’s life support systems in the next decade, and here, in the U.S., the devastating California fires illustrate how much is at stake.
At the same time, leaders and innovators are showing the way forward with the strategies, technologies, business models and partnerships needed and the UN Sustainable Development Goals and Project Drawdown are galvanizing action towards the greatest impact opportunities. We look forward to showcasing these solutions, delivering inspiration and direct results, with new projects and partnerships catalyzed at this action-filled gathering.
High-leverage impact strategies highlighted in our 2019 agenda are listed below. Stay tuned for our 2020 topics, to come!
