As Secretary of the Kentucky Cabinet for Economic Development, Terry works to recruit new industries to Kentucky, to diversify the economy in all regions of the state, and to facilitate the growth of existing industries and small businesses.

Just like his boss, Governor Matt Bevin, Terry is a business executive, not a politician, chosen to encourage growth while eliminating red tape. Together, their efforts have resulted in record investments and new jobs announced in Kentucky.

Terry is the former owner or CEO of several companies and also has worked to increase the number of high potential early and second round stage companies in the Louisville area. He and his wife Elizabeth live in Louisville and have two adult children.
